#Discovertheunique with Digital Dressing: The New Style of Fashion

Although still fresh for many, the concept of the Metaverse has been around for a while. Many people and brands alike find different ways to integrate it into their lifestyles. Various categories can incorporate themselves into the Metaverse, one being fashion. Several designers and brands have started creating digital fashion pieces to wear virtually, whether in the Metaverse or on social platforms like Instagram and Snapchat. Much like a real-life fashion show with real-time clothing and models, digital fashion shows with digitized garments and models will soon become the next new thing. The future is digital fashion with computer-generated garments!

Let's take a look at some homegrown brands/platforms that are dipping their feet into the world of digital fashion:

A digital atelier, Sharannya explores the world of digital fashion with a wide range of garments like dresses and sarees in various styles, prints and colours. Interested buyers can email them to get their hands on some gorgeous pieces, all available only digitally. Recently, the digital atelier joined hands with Shereenlovebug, where you can see her wear some of the fits from the Sharannya collection.

Banglore-based Neha Celly and founder of Nece Gene joined hands with Paris-based creative studio Scotoma Lab to create an entire digital collection to showcase at the Helsinki Fashion Week. Nece Gene is a sustainable denim couture label that collaborates with Indian denim giant Arvind Mills to use their denim scrap waste for creating their collections. A digital rendition of their 'Wetland Dress' made them a finalist in the fashion week.

Bloni Atelier is not only rad because of its fashion-forward and gender-neutral pieces but also because of its participation in the digital-only Cyber Fashion Week. Metallics and sequins are what make up their collections, a perfect showcase of the futuristic brand. This project was another one of Scotoma Lab's works, rendering 2D designs into 3D garments. Bloni Atelier believes in modern ethical luxury, taking inspiration from unconventional visions, the future of fashion.

Started by two people, Onclick Closet is a clothing brand selling wearable NFTs, helping people experience fashion digitally with a custom virtual tailor dealing with everything digitally. Their pieces are available on various markets that deal with digital apparel like Digitalax, The Fabricant Studio, Artisant and DressX Collection. Also, taking orders through their DMs, Onclick Closet will help you look chic, even digitally! One can find various styles, always staying up-to-date with the trends.

Delhi-based founder of N&S GAIA, Sidharth Sinha, was always dabbling with digital designs, starting with showcasing their collection at the Global Talents Digital, a hybrid fashion event as part of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia (MBFWR) in September of 2020. He then showcased his F/W '21 collection in digital format at the May '21 edition of the MBFWR, later participating in the Future of Fabric competition hosted by SwatchOn. They launch Metaverse editions of their garments, available on Dressx.
