#Discovertheunique and take a deep dive into the new Rado Captain Cook Collection

Rado launched another rendition of their famous divers watch collection from 1962, adding a touch of modernity yet sticking to their classic style in 2022. With Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard's first visit to India, Rado launched three new product lines, Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Diver, the Captain Cook Chronograph and the Captain Cook Over-Pole, in the infamous Captain Cook Collection. The launch was nothing less than grand as we sailed through Mumbai on a yacht, diving deep into the three styles introduced in the collection.

The evening began with CEO Adrian taking us through the journey of Rado and what awaits us as we board the yacht! He spoke about how India is one of the top three markets for Rado, and seeing the immense potential for growth here, they will continue to pursue opportunities. As for the collection, he stated,

"The new iconic Captain Cook Diver Collection reflects Rado's passion for creating timepieces that are at the forefront of design, technology and style."

Adrian is rightly so confident that Indians will love the new collection as much as they do. Rado is known as the "Master of Materials" and for revolutionising traditional watchmaking, leading the watch industry. Rado has always been a pioneer and leader considering watches, always setting the bar high, getting several— general and horologists alike, onboard as loyal users.

Let's sail through the three new products launched in the Captain Cook Collection:

When it comes to true explorers, time is never said to stand still, something that applies to watch designers at Rado, too. Taking an iconic model from the sixties, equipping it with a high-quality Swiss hand-wound mechanical movement with 80 hours of power reserve, Rado introduces the new Captain Cook Over-Pole. Taking design aspects from the original "Over-Pole Worldtimer" and keeping the true vintage essentials like the overall style intact only adding a modern take to it, the watch features a high-tech ceramic insert added to the bezel, laser engraving and a box-shaped sapphire crystal. The watch will catch the eyes of every adventurer and horologist, out there. Since international travel was a new concept around the 60s, inspiring many things like watchmakers around the world, it made gifted watchmakers at Rado busy with creating the Over-Pole timepiece, a clever edition in the earlier Captain Cook collection. The recent "Worldtimer" features a turning bezel featuring key cities of the world, a helpful way to estimate the timing in those locations. On the anniversary of the successful first Over-Pole, Rado launched the new variant, a limited edition with the latest technological features, keeping up with being known as the "Master of Materials".
